The PFC Wants you!
We are currently looking for a Co-Secretary and Vice President. The responsibilities of each position can be found in section 7.3 of the PFC Bylaws, here .
The PFC has launched a new website and Facebook group, and invite you to join us there. If you know of families not receiving these, please have them go to our new website.
From The Office
Gity Kalany, our Health Technician at Wells, needs help on Tuesday, October 20th with the 8th grade Vision and Hearing Screening. She needs 2 volunteers from 8:30am – 3pm. Please contact the office and let them know that you can help.
Starting Monday until Thursday, October 29th, ASB will begin to sell Compliment Candy Grams at lunch in the Lunch Pavilion. Each gram will be one dollar, and you can write a nice note or compliment to a friend. Make sure the note you’re sending is talking about something you like about the person. The grams will be delivered on Friday, October 30th, during your sixth period class. And don’t forget that the grams will each have one of the Ever Popular Lollipops that all students love!.
8th grade T-Shirts are available at the Student Window for those who have prepaid. You can pick them up at lunch or after school.
Athletics
7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball playoffs are this week – Come out and support our teams!
Girls Basketball try-out’s will begin the week of October 26th. 6th grade try-out’s will be on Monday, 10/26. 7th and 8th grade will be on Tuesday 10/27 and Wednesday 10/28. Please check at the Student Window to make sure that all your paperwork has been turned in and your physical is up to date. Green Clearance slips will be handed out at lunch and after school on the days of try-outs. You must have a clearance slip in order to try out for any sport.
Leadership
This Wednesday, October 21st, Leadership will be having a Mix It Up Day! Mix It Up Day is where you get to have fun playing or participating in a fun game with people that aren’t your friends! Come to the Lunch Pavilion at lunch at take part in a Scavenger Hunt. Rhymes and fun await! Prizes will be available to those who participate.
Spooky Halloween Art Contest:
Show Wells your artistic side by entering up to two of your best pieces of art in this month’s spooky art contest. We are looking for photography and hand done art (such as drawing, painting, oils) for this year’s contest. Our Spooky judges will be all Roadrunners. The art will be posted in the Library in the beginning of November. So, even if you do not enter a piece, you can be a part of this contest by judging the art work. Please turn in all pieces by October 29th to Ms. Longyear in B205. Prizes will be awarded to the best Photograph, best hand drawn (or painted) piece and best overall. Make sure all entries are school appropriate. We cannot wait to see your spooky art!
